Santorini
Crescent-shaped Santorini (or Thíra), the precious gem of the Aegean, is actually a group of islands consisting of Thíra, Thirassiá, Asproníssi, Palea and Nea Kaméni in the southernmost part of Cyclades.
Elounda
Elounda lies at a distance of about 7 km from Agios Nikolaos. It was a small fishing village before the tourists discovered it. Large luxury hotel chains were built and was turned into a top holiday destination in Crete.
Chrissi Island
Chrissi, an island 7km long with a maximum width of 2 km, is located 8 nautical miles south of the most southern town in Europe, Ierapetra Crete. The shores of Chrissi are surrounded by the Mediterranean’s Libyan sea.
Samaria Gorge
Samaria gorge is located 43 km from the city of Chania, this is the longest gorge in Europe, measuring some 18 kilometers and renowed for its awesome beauty. At some points the passage is just 3 meters wide and at times the steep sides rise to a height of 600 meters.
Elafonisi
Elafonissos (or Elafonissi) is one of the most beautiful beaches you could visit in Crete and it is located at the most South and West part of the island at a distance of about 70 Km from Chania.
Balos
The famous lagoon of Balos is located approximately 56km northwest of Chania and 17km northwest of Kissamos, formed between the Cape Gramvousa and the small Cape Tigani and below the range of Platiskinos. Balos is surely the mostly photographed beach in Crete, a very favorite subject of all tourist guides for Greece.
